Make Good Ab Workouts Great: 7 Hot Tips

Are the amounts of different ab workout to choose from confusing you? Does it really have to be so difficult to find something that really works? I’m going to give you some great tips, and some nice ab workouts to help on the way to a leaner stomach.

1. If you don’t feel your abs working, the exercise is probably not effective. You should be able to feel your abs pulling or pushing while performing the exercise.

2. Don’t just do. Concentrate on what you are doing, to make sure you are using your abs. If you are pulling with your arms or legs, or using the momentum of the exercise, the exercise will be much less effective.

3. Pick the exercise up from the floor. If you, for example, use an exercise ball, instead of doing the exercise on the floor, you will strengthen your whole core. Since your body has to keep the balance to avoid falling on the floor, you will be using more muscles.

4. Here are some great ab workouts for you to try:

Toe Raises are a great ab exercise. Lie on the floor. Hands on your hips or by your sides. Lift you your legs up, pointing your toes towards the sky, and lower slowly. This is one repetition. Repeat 15 times.

V-Sit. Start with lying flat on the floor, with your hands by your sides. Lift your legs and your upper body at the same time, making a V with your body. Only your bottom should be on the floor. Slowly go back to the starting position. Do 10 repetitions. Or at least as many as you can manage.

5. Most important of all is your Diet. It’s the food you have been eating that has made the body you have today. Give your body what it wants and needs ? whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meats. Always remember to drink a lot of water.

6. Have a balanced workout. All your muscles need to be trained for optimal result. If you are working your abs, you mustn’t forget your back, and so on.

7. Include an aerobic program in your exercise routine. You need to lower your body fat percentage if you want a really toned stomach.
