Putting Romance Back Into Marriage

Most couples are caught in situations where they feel that the romance factor in their lives is all gone. Romance is something that occurs naturally during the beginning of a relationship.

Almost everything that a love struck couple do in the beginning is to keep the other person happy and attracted to him or her. Once you begin to feel secure though, the romance may quickly dwindle and you may find yourself feeling rather helpless. Boredom is a direct result of the contentment and security that couples feel once they have tied the knot.

Such boredom can creep in particularly after the birth of children. With children taking a majority of the time of the couple, there seems little time left for love or romance. Lovingly watching the children grow sometimes drains couples both physically as well as emotionally.

Uninterrupted time away from all the household work is something that both parents are deprived of in such instances. Romantic sojourns end up being things that they could only dream of with time. However, with a little bit of effort on your part, you can show how much you love your spouse. Yes, it is very much possible for you to be a passionate lover and a compassionate parent.

Think back to the times before marriage, and you will get various ways of surprising your spouse. Small surprises such as sending a bunch of flowers or even hugging them enlightens your mood and brings back the passion that is lost. You need to make it a point to spend time with each other, and you should make a decision that nothing should hinder this be it your work or children or friends.

Couples should plan for some time that they need to spend together each day. In fact one of the root causes of the romance factor fading away from a marriage is the couple not spending enough time with each other. You should actively make some efforts to bring back the passion of old times. A love note in the lunch box or a flirty message over the mobile phone, are all great ways to bring back the fire in your marriage.

Being a wonderful parent and the best partner to your spouse is not very difficult. Putting back romance into your married life is not a Herculean task. All you need to do is focus on the love you have for each other and see that the love never dies.

Romance need not all be extravagant. A simple stroll along the beach, listening to the waves is enough to rekindle the romance in your life, without having to spend even a single penny. Remember, a simple gesture or a gift or even a simple hug can go a long way in putting the fire back in your marriage.
