Non Owner Auto Insurance

Did you know that even if you don’t own your own car but occasionally borrows someone else’s, or if you rely heavily on rental cars, your state may expect you to still carry adequate levels of auto insurance coverage? This is because even if you don’t own a car, by driving one you’re just as capable of causing damages to properties and injuries to another person during a car accident. Hence, the need for non car-owners to also purchase auto insurance coverage in case you are sued for causing a car accident.

A Non Owner Auto Insurance policy would be the best choice for people who drive, but don’t necessarily own a vehicle and, therefore, would not find it practical to invest in a full-comprehensive car insurance coverage. Unlike a regular car insurance, a Non Owner Policy would certainly cost much less since the type of coverage you’ll be getting is usually limited to liability protection only.

One of the main differences between a Non Owner Auto Insurance and your regular car insurance is that the former is much more affordable. This is because this type of policy does not include other types of coverage such as Collision, Comprehensive and Personal Injury Protection, which are usually a staple on a regular coverage. This policy just gives you the financial means to compensate anyone you do harm (who might sue you) in an accident. We also recommend getting a Non Owner Policy if you frequently rent a vehicle, as the daily cost rental insurance (around $10 – $20) plus the rental fee itself, can already reach a hefty sum and could very well surpass what you would have paid for under a Non Owner Policy in just a few days.

So if you don’t want to drive illegally or expose yourself to too much financial risk driving without coverage, and has no plans of buying a car, then we highly encourage you to get a Non Owner Auto Insurance policy.
